4Cat
Version 1.31

by Earl R. Davidson
To print the manual type PRINTDOC and press the enter key.
For those of you who never read the manual: COPY the file 4CAT.EXE to
a subdirectory on your disk that is always included in your PATH command.
A UTL, UTIL, or UTILITY directory will be fine if you use one of those.
Insert a disk to be cataloged into drive A: and run 4CAT. The database
file will be created and the files on the disk added to the database.
If you have used a previous version (v. 1.20 or lower) you can convert
your old 4CAT-DB.MDB by placing the 4CATCNVT.EXE file in the same
directory as 4CAT-DB.MDB and typing 4CATCNVT and pressing the ENTER key.
A new database file named 4CAT-DB2.MDB file will be quickly created.
If you use 4DOS version 5+ be sure your DescriptionMax directive in the
4DOS.INI file is set to 200 so that 4DOS will recognize the 200 character
descriptions.
NOTE: If you have already converted to version 1.30 it is NOT necessary
to use 4CATCNVT again to use version 1.31.
Type 4CAT /? for a little more help. Thanks for trying 4Cat! I hope it
meets your cataloging needs as well as it has mine.
